Our AI has been trained on millions of products and achieves high accuracy for common items. For more obscure products, it provides the best match based on available data. We continuously improve accuracy with each scan.
Do I need an internet connection to use the app?
Yes, ProductScan AI requires an internet connection to analyze images and retrieve product information. The AI processing happens on our servers to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.
How are daily scan credits calculated?
Free users receive 5 scan credits that refresh every 24 hours. Each product scan uses one credit. Unused credits do not roll over to the next day. Pro users will have unlimited scans once the subscription is available.
What if the app can't identify my product?
If the app cannot identify a product with high confidence, it will provide the closest matches and ask for your feedback. This helps our AI learn and improve. You can also report unidentified products to help us expand our database.
Is my scanning history private?
Yes, your scanning history is private and only visible to you. We use anonymized scan data to improve our AI model, but we never share individual user data with third parties.
Does ProductScan AI work for all product types?
ProductScan AI works best with packaged consumer goods. It can identify food products, household items, electronics, personal care products, and more. It may have limitations with very small items, handmade products, or products without distinctive packaging.
